Personal
Branding
This was probably the most challenging project to do, because I wanted to embody the most high resolution imagine of my personal brand so as to convey myself authentically. This effort was a total rebrand as I felt myself evolve as a designer, breaking out of my novice design approaches. I wanted something more playful, but still on brand with my current designs, which is clean and modern, yet encompassing the needs and personality from the client. So, this is the new me.
The Logo
The foundation of my design came from a previous project where we had to make a logo out of our initials. What I produced for that project was a similar concept but differed aesthetically and didn't feel like me. For the redesign, I went with upper case letters in a bold typeface, l leaning towards more abstract without losing legibility, wherein I simplified the letters to just outlines.
Visual Language
The new colors are what my favorite colors have always been. When I previously designed my brand, I used very corporate colors, colors that didn't read "me." So I decided to go back to the basics and just design with colors that I like, which has always purple and neutrals.
Products
Since this is my personal brand, the first product I started with was business cards. I had a lot of fun making these, and I was able to incorporate what I use in a lot of my designs, a grid, with a spin of course. I call it the wiggly grid. It adds movement to the traditional grid that I use religiously (both normally and to break), and it adds depth with the elements on top of it. These elements will be found in many of my personal designs, like my resume and this website itself.
